What is HOSA?
Tennessee HOSA–Future Health Professionals is a student-led Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that prepares middle school, high school, and postsecondary students for success in the healthcare field. Through hands-on learning, leadership development, and career exploration, Tennessee HOSA empowers students to build the technical skills, confidence, and experience needed for their future careers.
Tennessee HOSA is a chartered association of HOSA–Future Health Professionals, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Tennessee Department of Education. As part of Tennessee's Career and Technical Education (CTE) system, Tennessee HOSA supports classroom instruction by connecting students to real-world healthcare opportunities and professional pathways.
-
A Classroom-Connected Experience
HOSA is embedded in Tennessee’s health science programs as an intra-curricular organization that directly supports classroom instruction. By integrating HOSA into CTE courses, educators give students a platform to apply what they learn in school to meaningful, future-focused opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
